Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED
  • two to three years of experience in a similar facility position or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • possession of or ability to obtain forklift operator certification and CPR certificate
  • current and valid driver’s license
  • ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 80 pounds
  • availability to work variable shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • ability to pass background and driving records check

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or GED
  • two to three years of experience in a similar facility position or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • ability to safely operate motorized janitorial equipment
  • strong customer service and communication skills
  • ability to follow event setup plans and instructions
  • attention to detail and time management
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • ability to safely operate hand tools and work on elevated platforms
  • forklift certification (or ability to obtain within one year)
  • CPR certification

Job Duties

  • perform essential cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, waxing, vacuuming, dusting and emptying trash containers
  • ensure restrooms are clean, stocked and ready for use including replenishing towels, tissue and soap
  • keep employee breakrooms, locker rooms and loading docks clean and organized including mopping, dishwashing and disinfecting surfaces
  • set up and break down tables, chairs, bleachers, ramps, dance floors, air walls, staging and hanging of drapes as required for events using schematic drawings
  • assist with hanging banners outside the building using high-lift equipment
  • prepare rooms between events by striking tables and chairs, cleaning rooms and resetting spaces
  • serve as a resource to guests by providing event and facility information
  • monitor event spaces during shows to maintain cleanliness, restock supplies and empty trash containers
  • maintain professional appearance and follow all safety policies
