Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in event setup or related field
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs
  • Ability to push/pull up to 100 lbs
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Availability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to speak Spanish preferred

  • Proven leadership experience in event setup or hospitality operations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical ability to lift and move furniture and equipment
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and coaching skills

Job Duties

  • Supervises the setup, organization, and overall arrangement of furniture and fixtures in meeting rooms and conference halls
  • Holds informal pre-shift meetings with convention services housemen to communicate shift tasks
  • Reviews the Daily Detail Report to understand the day’s work and unique requests
  • Oversees and directs convention services housemen in task performance
  • Assists with convention setup during peak periods, including pushing/pulling carts and lifting furniture
  • Consults with clients to adjust event setup and furniture placement as needed
  • Inspects event spaces after setup to ensure compliance with specifications
