Job Requirements

  • Must submit to a criminal background check
  • Eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to move and position up to 35 lbs of equipment and materials
  • Ability to use industry tools and access remote building locations
  • Capacity to stand, move, traverse, and position for sustained periods to meet event demands
  • Able to perform prolonged periods of sitting, typing, or screen work

Job Qualifications

  • A college degree is not required but a combination of education and experience totaling 6 years or more is preferred
  • Experience in the performing arts, preferably in a performing arts venue
  • Strong knowledge of planning and executing special events in multi-functional environments
  • Familiarity with food and beverage services in performance halls or similar settings
  • Proven experience managing large groups including guests, clients, staff, and volunteers
  • Excellent attention to detail and a customer-service oriented mindset
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to remain composed in challenging situations
  • Commitment to diversity and inclusivity
  • Proficient computer skills including Windows, Mac OS X, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe PDF, and Google Workspace
  • Experience in performance halls, exhibition halls, concert centers or similar venues
  • Proficiency with Momentus (formerly VenueOps), Social Tables, or other venue management software
  • Basic knowledge of audio/visual equipment and technical services
  • Flexible and adaptable team player
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to proofread accurately for spelling and grammar

Job Duties

  • Schedule tour advance calls and fulfill event front-of-house needs including security, parking, and catering
  • Interface with tour personnel and clients on arrival
  • Conduct tours and schedule meetings to assist clients in planning and executing event details
  • Collaborate with the event services team in planning and executing full facility events
  • Coordinate technical requirements, furniture, event flow, timelines, setup, labor, and catering
  • Oversee the coordination, management, and training of volunteer ushers, front-of-house staff, event supervisors, and house/venue managers
  • Actively supervise events from load-in through load-out
  • Assist in the creation and implementation of production budgets including labor, supplies, and vendor costs
