Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, sports management, marketing or related field
- 4-6 years of ticketing experience preferably with a sports or entertainment facility
- Experience managing large-scale events
- Experience training and managing staff
- Ability to work independently and manage a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Flexible schedule availability including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Strong conflict resolution and communication skills
- Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Availability for extended work periods
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Sports Management, Marketing or related field required
- 4-6 years of increasingly responsible ticketing experience preferably with sports/entertainment venue
- Experience with large-scale events in arena, stadium or concert setting highly desirable
- Experience training and managing staff
- Ability to work independently and lead, manage and motivate others
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Strong conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, quick learner and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Comfortable working early mornings, nights, weekends, holidays and extended workdays
Job Duties
- Advance each show/event with appropriate promoter representative in a timely fashion
- Communicate all event information to the appropriate departments and staff
- Schedule all admissions staff for events
- Develop, implement and manage event admissions plans in conjunction with event security provider and promoter representatives
- Develop accurate event seating information with the Box Office Manager and Operations Manager and ensure event set-ups are accurate
- Communicate in a timely manner with each department head regarding specific event needs and information
- Prepare and distribute Event Data Sheet to all staff and departments in a timely manner
- Prepare post event report for all events coordinated
- Meet with facility sports tenants to collect and distribute game requirements and coordinate efforts to produce tenant events
- Train and effectively communicate with staff regarding responsibilities and expectations
- Work with promoters and agents to coordinate client needs and provide cost estimates
- Prepare and submit expenses for event settlements and attend settlement if required
- Collaborate with Finance on event related reports
- Execute other operational duties as assigned
- Provide excellent customer service and respond promptly to customer requests including email and web inquiries
- Prepare daily and monthly business transaction reports
- Assist with chargeback disputes and monthly account reconciliations
- Supervise and schedule ticket takers
- Foster a service-oriented attitude among staff
- Develop and maintain excellent client relationships and meet/exceed service level agreements
- Use troubleshooting techniques to identify root causes of client complaints
- Hire, train, schedule and manage part-time Box Office ticket sellers and supervisors
- Submit events for programming and manage inventory, special offers and programs on behalf of venue and promoter
