Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3 or more years experience in live entertainment venue or similar role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience planning and managing live events
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended hours
  • Preferred bachelor’s degree in event/facility management, sports management, or business
  • Preferred 5 or more years related experience
  • Ability to lead and direct large teams
  • Experience with CAD software
  • Ability to handle high stress situation and resolve issues quickly

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3 or more years related experience in a multi-purpose, live entertainment venue
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong communication skills in person and electronically
  • Experienced in event planning and management coordinating complex schedules
  • Willingness to work flexible and extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Event/Facility Management, Sports Management, or Business
  • 5 or more years related experience directing events and leading large teams
  • Experienced with CAD programs such as AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT
  • Strong leadership skills with event staff and student workers
  • Skilled in client needs assessment and problem solving in high stress environments

Job Duties

  • Lead and establish protocols for event execution within the facility
  • Serve as the primary on-site decision maker and Manager on Duty for events
  • Coordinate with clients to plan, organize, and manage all aspects of events
  • Monitor event schedules, facility operations, and staff to ensure safety, efficiency, and client satisfaction on event days
  • Disseminate event tasks to all departments, contractors, and service providers and ensure compliance with event plans
  • Submit staffing orders in advance and oversee event staffing and contractor coordination
  • Prepare cost estimates, approve payments, and monitor billing accuracy post-event
  • Plan and lead event operation meetings and create detailed event plans
  • Manage building access control, occupant experience, and work extended hours as needed
  • Address client concerns promptly and provide outstanding customer service
  • Produce post-event summaries to update policies and improve processes
  • Research and recommend equipment and procedural improvements within budget constraints
