Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 3 years of related event management experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage complex schedules and lead teams
  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours on short notice
  • Experience in a live entertainment or multi-purpose venue
  • Preferred experience with CAD software
  • Preferred leadership experience
  • Ability to handle high-stress, fast-paced environments

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3 or more years related experience in a multi-purpose live entertainment venue, including Graduate Assistantship or Internship
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong communication skills in person and remotely
  • Experienced event planner and manager capable of coordinating complex schedules
  • Willingness to work flexible and extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Event/Facility Management, Sports Management, or Business
  • Preferred: 5 or more years related experience directing events and leading large teams
  • Preferred: Experienced with CAD programs like AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT
  • Preferred: Strong leadership skills with event staff and student workers
  • Preferred: Skilled in client needs assessment and fast-paced problem solving

Job Duties

  • Lead and establish protocols for event execution within the facility
  • Oversee event operations including major concerts, family shows, sports events, and private functions
  • Serve as primary on-site decision-maker and Manager on Duty during events
  • Coordinate with clients, promoters, and tenants from confirmation through event completion
  • Disseminate event tasks to departments, staff, and service providers ensuring safety and schedule adherence
  • Monitor facility and staff on event days, taking corrective action as necessary
  • Manage staffing levels and oversee contractor and in-house staff operations
  • Review and approve payments, prepare cost estimates, and ensure billing accuracy
  • Lead event planning meetings and create detailed event plans by department
  • Develop building access control plans and occupant experience strategies
  • Prepare post-event summaries and recommend policy updates
  • Research and recommend equipment and supplies within budget
