Job Requirements

  • Previous experience in hospitality service-related positions required
  • Previous experience as Conference/Convention Services Manager, Event Planning Manager, or Group Rooms Coordinator preferred
  • Must possess computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of Delphi or similar sales tools preferred
  • Ability to work independently and self-motivated
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of hotel and competitive market
  • Ability to professionally represent the hotel
  • Ability to participate as a team player
  • Must have math skills and budgetary analysis capabilities
  • Experience with sales and marketing tools
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback to all departments and sales and marketing leaders

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in hospitality service-related positions
  • Experience as Conference/Convention Services Manager, Event Planning Manager, or Group Rooms Coordinator preferred
  • Familiarity with sales and marketing tools
  • Salesforce/Delphi experience preferred
  • Ability to work as a team player with other hotel members
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Delphi
  • Knowledge of hotel and competitive market
  • Professional representation of hotel in community and industry events
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback to departments and sales leaders

Job Duties

  • Effectively and timely handles group, wedding and catering sales turnovers
  • Identify group guest needs and all sales opportunities
  • Ensures group rooms and banquet attrition are followed
  • Plan and conduct site inspection of upcoming programs
  • Effectively use Delphi while using existing sales standards to document all sales and services activities
  • Develop and implement own sales action plans for up-selling food and beverage as well as guest rooms to achieve personal and team financial goals
  • Assumes responsibility for the successful set-up and execution of programs
  • Provides direction and supervision of meeting and/or catering logistics to affected departments and team members
  • Provide a problem free experience for guests while maintaining highest standards of service and communication
  • Assist with training and development of team members to enhance performance
  • Maintain team informed of events or VIP clients professionally and concisely
  • Make timely decisions that balance guest needs with financial, safety and staffing goals of the hotel
  • Plan and/or attend meetings including Daily Huddle, Resume Meeting, Banquet Event Order Meeting, Sales Meeting, Pre-Convention Meetings, Menu Tastings and Site Visits
  • Achieve or exceed individual and departmental goals
