Job Requirements
- Hospitality service experience required
- Conference or convention services management experience preferred
- Familiarity with sales and marketing tools
- Experience with Salesforce or Delphi preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively
- Self-motivated
- Proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Delphi
- Knowledge in accounting, math, and budgets
- Professional demeanor representing the hotel
- Ability to communicate constructively with departments and leadership
- Understanding of hotel market environment
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality service-related positions
- Experience as Conference or Convention Services Manager, Event Planning Manager, or Group Rooms Coordinator preferred
- Familiarity with sales and marketing tools
- Preferred experience with Salesforce or Delphi
- Ability to work as a team player
- Self-motivated with minimal supervision
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Knowledge of Delphi
- Understanding of accounting programs, math skills, and budgetary analysis
- Professional representation of hotel in community and industry events
- Ability to provide constructive feedback to sales and marketing leaders
- Knowledge of hotel and competitive market
Job Duties
- Handle group, wedding and catering sales turnovers effectively and timely
- Identify group guest needs and all sales opportunities
- Ensure group rooms and banquet attrition are followed
- Plan and conduct site inspections of upcoming programs
- Use Delphi and existing sales standards to document all sales and services activities
- Develop and implement sales action plans for up-selling food, beverage, and guest rooms
- Assume responsibility for successful set-up and execution of programs
- Provide direction and supervision of meeting and catering logistics to departments and team members
- Deliver a problem-free guest experience while maintaining the highest standards of service and communication
- Assist with training and development of team members
- Maintain team informed of events or VIP clients professionally
- Make timely decisions balancing guest needs with financial, safety and staffing goals
- Plan and participate in various meetings including daily huddles, banquet event orders, sales meetings, and site visits
- Achieve or exceed individual and departmental financial goals
