Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of related experience
  • Forklift certification at time of hire or ability to obtain within six months
  • Ability to work irregular hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to move objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Successful completion of criminal background check
  • Availability to work full-time
  • Ability to work under the supervision of an Event Services Supervisor

Job Qualifications

  • Two years of experience in convention center, theater, or cleaning methods
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Experience with event setup in a public venue
  • Experience with contracted temporary labor
  • Experience interacting with clients and the public
  • Proficiency with computerized work order and event management systems
  • Knowledge of building and facility care methods
  • Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to operate motorized ride on cleaning equipment

Job Duties

  • Direct and assign work to Event Service Workers
  • Supervise part-time and temporary event staff during shifts
  • Oversee event setup and teardown activities
  • Perform custodial duties as required
  • Inspect and ensure quality of completed work
  • Maintain communication with clients and event personnel
  • Participate in manual work to support event operations
