Job Requirements

  • bachelor's degree in hospitality, sports management, business, or related field
  • minimum two years of relevant experience
  • ability to manage and lead event staff
  • excellent communication skills
  • capacity for independent judgment and decision-making
  • availability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • background check clearance

  • proven leadership and staff management skills
  • strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • effective communication and negotiation skills
  • ability to make independent decisions under pressure
  • familiarity with facility operations and event management protocols

Job Duties

  • manage the planning and coordination of athletic contests, university events, and external rentals
  • oversee event operations and staff during events
  • negotiate event requirements with clients and stakeholders
  • serve as Manager on Duty for assigned events making real-time decisions
  • schedule, supervise, and evaluate event-related staff including ushers, ticket takers, and crowd control personnel
  • ensure compliance with facility policies and client contracts
  • maintain high standards of service and operational excellence at all events
