Job Requirements

  • BS/BA or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum 2 years of sales experience
  • Prior sales experience in audiovisual, technology or hospitality preferred
  • Knowledge of sales processes
  • Ability to read financial reports
  • Technical aptitude and computer proficiency
  • CRM experience required
  • Superior communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work irregular hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to travel to multiple hotel locations
  • Must meet physical demands including sitting, standing, walking, stooping, and lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally

Job Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree or 3+ years of Encore or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2+ years of sales experience
  • Prior sales experience in audiovisual, technology, or hospitality preferred
  • Knowledge of sales process
  • Ability to read and decipher financial reports and records
  • Technical aptitude, computer proficiency and CRM knowledge
  • Prefer CAD and Oracle knowledge
  • Superior communication and presentation skills

Job Duties

  • Drive results by soliciting and securing business through a proactive consultative sales approach
  • Maximize revenue opportunity for assigned customers by creating effective strategies for per-event revenue growth, including upsell and cross-sell opportunities
  • Create high-end large event advanced technology solutions for existing and potential customers
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations that convey Encore's value and effectively solve customer challenges
  • Collaborate with vendors and other departments/divisions to capture and service events
  • Attend site visits, pre-conference planning meetings, and venue meetings to support customer event experience
  • Understand event cost structure and incorporate into solution designs according to established profitability guidelines
