Job Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent
  • valid CT state guard card
  • ability to work flexible schedule including nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays
  • self-motivated with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to remain calm and flexible under stress
  • experience in crowd management and security supervision
  • excellent decision-making skills
  • effective radio communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent
  • valid CT state guard card
  • knowledge of event characteristics including crowd management and control techniques
  • principles and practices of effective security and employee supervision in an arena setting
  • ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • self-motivated with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to function independently and as part of a team
  • proven guest and client service capabilities
  • knowledge and skill in effective radio communication

Job Duties

  • Direct, train, instruct and oversee the daily performance of the security staff
  • assist the lead supervisor with employee issues and discipline
  • assist in conducting pre-shift meetings and assigning staff positions
  • assist in the setup, breakdown, and operation of walk-through magnetometers and wands
  • enforce facility rules, policies and procedures and report incidents
  • make immediate decisions and communicate with security staff in emergency situations
  • supervise all security activities for events to ensure guest satisfaction
  • work cooperatively with local law enforcement
  • work closely with other building staff to troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • assist in conducting post-event meetings
  • complete and submit event recap and incident/injury reports
  • perform other duties as assigned
