Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
  • valid CT State Guard Card
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • prior experience in security or event supervision preferred
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to manage and train staff
  • capability to respond rapidly in emergency situations
  • physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • proficiency in radio communications

Job Qualifications

  • knowledge of crowd management and control techniques
  • ability to anticipate needs and assess situations
  • understanding of effective security and employee supervision in an arena setting

  • proven guest and client service capabilities
  • sound judgement to diffuse volatile situations

Job Duties

  • Direct, train, instruct and oversee the daily performance of the Security Staff
  • assist the Lead Supervisor with employee issues and discipline
  • assist in conducting pre-shift meetings and assign staff positions
  • assist in the setup, breakdown, and operation of walk-through magnetometers and wands
  • enforce facility rules, policies and procedures and report incidents
  • make immediate decisions and communicate with Security staff in emergency situations
  • supervise all Security activities for events to ensure guest satisfaction
  • work cooperatively with local law enforcement
  • work closely with other building staff to resolve issues
  • assist in conducting post-event meetings
  • complete and submit event recap and incident/injury reports
  • perform other duties as assigned
