Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 1 year sales or related hospitality experience
  • Proven ability to use CRM systems effectively
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work irregular hours including weekends and holidays
  • Must be physically able to meet job demands including standing, walking, and occasional lifting
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with diverse teams and vendors
  • Commitment to uphold company core values
  • Ability to manage complex tasks and drive results

Job Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree or 1+ years of Encore or equivalent experience
  • 1 year technology sales or hospitality experience preferred
  • Prior sales experience in audiovisual is a plus
  • Knowledge of hospitality industry and sales processes preferred
  • Technical aptitude and computer proficiency required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Job Duties

  • Drive results by soliciting and securing business through a proactive, consultative sales approach
  • Effectively prepare and present quotes and proposals in a timely manner to customers
  • Collaborate with vendors and other departments/divisions to capture and service events
  • Attend site visits, pre-conference planning meetings, and venue meetings to support the customer event experience
  • Understand event cost structure and incorporate this into solution designs according to profitability guidelines
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with customers, venue personnel, and Encore supporting functions
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and ensure all opportunities are accurately updated in CRM
  • Support sales forecasting efforts and adopt all sales SOPs and new initiatives
  • Maintain knowledge of new product/service offerings and emerging meeting technology
