Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a commissioned sales role within the hospitality or events industry
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical activities for extended periods
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments, with potential exposure to dust, fumes, or gases
  • Capable of climbing ladders, squatting, kneeling, reaching, grasping, twisting, bending, and folding/unfolding as required
  • Able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 lbs occasionally
  • Effective communication skills, including talking and hearing, with sufficient visual acuity
  • Attendance requirements as outlined on the weekly schedule
  • Willingness to work additional hours including weekends and/or holidays to meet deadlines

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a commissioned sales role within the hospitality or events industry, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • College degree in hospitality, marketing, or a related field preferred
  • Experience establishing marketing and prospecting programs to drive event revenues preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and event management software preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and staff
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

Job Duties

  • Oversee and direct the execution of sales plans to drive event sales revenue, ensuring alignment with club goals and regional sales standards
  • Provide direction to Event Sales Coordinator to achieve targets by fostering a results-driven and collaborative sales environment
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to provide insights that support the development of sales strategies
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with clients and prospects through proactive engagement and networking opportunities within and beyond the club
  • Oversee and guide the client consultation process, offering recommendations and assisting in the development of event solutions that align with client expectations and club objectives
  • Evaluate and act on client feedback to identify opportunities for service enhancements and improved client satisfaction
  • Establish standards for documentation and tracking of event-related activities and expenses in compliance with financial and operational policies
  • Utilize sales management tools, such as Cater Pro and Power BI, to assist in tracking sales performance and managing event data effectively
  • Assist others as needed and take on additional tasks as assigned by management
  • Follow all company, club, and department policies, procedures, and instructions
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and a commitment to excellence in interactions with members, colleagues, and staff
  • Follow safe working practices, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines and encouraging others to do the same
  • Take initiative in personal and professional growth and maintain any required certifications relevant to your role
  • Address and resolve challenges using available resources, working with regional and corporate teams to support club operations
  • Attend daily briefings and actively engage in required activities to stay informed and contribute to the team’s success
