Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a commissioned sales role within the hospitality or events industry
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical activities for extended periods
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments, with potential exposure to dust, fumes, or gases
- Capable of climbing ladders, squatting, kneeling, reaching, grasping, twisting, bending, and folding/unfolding as required
- Able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 lbs occasionally
- Effective communication skills, including talking and hearing, with sufficient visual acuity
- Attendance requirements as outlined on the weekly schedule
- Willingness to work additional hours including weekends and/or holidays to meet deadlines
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a commissioned sales role within the hospitality or events industry, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- College degree in hospitality, marketing, or a related field preferred
- Experience establishing marketing and prospecting programs to drive event revenues preferred
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and event management software preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and staff
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
Job Duties
- Oversee and direct the execution of sales plans to drive event sales revenue, ensuring alignment with club goals and regional sales standards
- Provide direction to Event Sales Coordinator to achieve targets by fostering a results-driven and collaborative sales environment
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to provide insights that support the development of sales strategies
- Cultivate and manage relationships with clients and prospects through proactive engagement and networking opportunities within and beyond the club
- Oversee and guide the client consultation process, offering recommendations and assisting in the development of event solutions that align with client expectations and club objectives
- Evaluate and act on client feedback to identify opportunities for service enhancements and improved client satisfaction
- Establish standards for documentation and tracking of event-related activities and expenses in compliance with financial and operational policies
- Utilize sales management tools, such as Cater Pro and Power BI, to assist in tracking sales performance and managing event data effectively
- Assist others as needed and take on additional tasks as assigned by management
- Follow all company, club, and department policies, procedures, and instructions
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and a commitment to excellence in interactions with members, colleagues, and staff
- Follow safe working practices, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines and encouraging others to do the same
- Take initiative in personal and professional growth and maintain any required certifications relevant to your role
- Address and resolve challenges using available resources, working with regional and corporate teams to support club operations
- Attend daily briefings and actively engage in required activities to stay informed and contribute to the team’s success
