Job Requirements

Job Qualifications
- 2 to 3 years of experience in event sales, social catering, or meeting planning (hotel or venue experience preferred)
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple event types, timelines, and priorities
- Comfort with sales systems and event technology (Hyatt system training provided)
- A passion for hospitality and a commitment to creating meaningful and memorable events
Job Duties
- Proactively sell and contract social events, milestone celebrations, small corporate meetings, association gatherings, holiday celebrations, and lifestyle events
- Conduct site tours, create tailored proposals, and negotiate contracts aligned with hotel revenue goals
- Develop relationships with local organizations, corporate partners, planners, and key vendors
- Represent Hyatt Regency Baltimore Inner Harbor at community events, networking functions, and targeted industry activities
- Support the hotel’s limited wedding business by handling inquiries, conducting tours, and assisting couples through the essential planning process
- Guide clients on packages, menus, setups, timelines, and room block coordination
- Collaborate across departments including culinary, banquet, audio visual, event services, and operations to ensure smooth event execution
