Job Requirements
- BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
- At least 1 year of relevant sales experience preferably in technology or hospitality
- Technical aptitude for computer systems and new technology
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to maintain and update CRM database accurately
- Willingness to work irregular hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to travel and attend site visits and meetings
- Physical ability to meet job demands such as sitting, standing, walking for several hours
- Adherence to company appearance guidelines
Job Qualifications
- BS/BA degree or 1+ years of Encore or equivalent experience
- One year technology sales or hospitality experience preferred
- Prior sales experience in audiovisual is a plus
- Knowledge of the hospitality industry and sales processes preferred
- Technical aptitude and computer proficiency required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Job Duties
- Drive results by soliciting and securing business through a proactive, consultative sales approach utilizing Encore's sales process and methodology
- Effectively prepare and present quotes and proposals in a timely manner to customers including those submitted through company booking systems
- Collaborate with vendors and other departments/divisions of Encore to capture and service events
- Attend site visits, pre-conference planning meetings, and appropriate venue meetings to support customer event experiences
- Understand event cost structures and incorporate this into solution designs according to profitability guidelines
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with customers, venue personnel, and Encore supporting functions
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and ensure accurate and updated CRM entries at all times
- Support the sales forecasting efforts at the home location and submit timely reports
- Learn and adopt all standard operating procedures and new initiatives or programs
- Maintain knowledge of new product/service offerings and emerging technologies supporting meetings and events
