Job Requirements

  • Three to five years of related experience
  • bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience and/or training
  • ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as necessary
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • ability to lift or move up to 25 pounds
  • ability to stand, sit, use hands, and reach with hands and arms
  • ability to work in moderate noise environment

Job Duties

  • Research, analyze, and develop special event profit generating opportunities
  • proactively solicit new business through sales calls, presentations, trade shows, and client prospecting
  • create leads and develop long-term relationships in event planning, production, and promotion communities
  • monitor changes and new developments in the special events industry
  • work closely with operating departments, subcontractors, vendors, and the Foundation
  • manage and direct all organization-related event logistics including calendar management, walk-throughs, and client contact
  • prepare and provide required reports including revenue, profit and loss, sales recaps, and projections
  • obtain feedback from clients to analyze satisfaction and event-related risks
  • perform other duties as assigned
