Job Requirements

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 1 year experience in Encore or an equivalent sales role
  • Experience in technology sales or hospitality preferred
  • Prior audiovisual sales experience a plus
  • Strong technical skills and computer proficiency
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work irregular hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to travel between multiple hotel locations
  • Physical ability to perform light lifting and stand/walk for extended periods

Job Qualifications

  • BS/BA or equivalent experience
  • 1+ years of Encore or similar company experience
  • 1 year technology sales or hospitality experience preferred
  • Prior sales experience in audiovisual is a plus
  • Knowledge of hospitality industry and sales processes preferred
  • Technical aptitude and computer proficiency
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Job Duties

  • Drive results by soliciting and securing business through a proactive, consultative sales approach utilizing Encore's sales process and methodology
  • Effectively prepare and present quotes and proposals in a timely manner to customers including those submitted through Encore's website, venue booking system, or other sources
  • Collaborate with vendors and other Encore departments to capture and service events
  • Attend site visits, pre-conference planning meetings, and venue meetings to support customer event experience
  • Understand event cost structure and incorporate into solution designs according to profitability guidelines
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with customers, venue personnel, and Encore supporting functions
  • Maintain an accurate and updated pipeline in CRM to ensure achievement of revenue targets
