Job Requirements

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Encore or similar role
  • Experience in technology sales or hospitality preferred
  • Familiarity with audiovisual sales a plus
  • Knowledge of hospitality industry sales processes preferred
  • Technical aptitude
  • Proficient in computer use
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • BS/BA or 1+ years of Encore or equivalent experience
  • 1 year technology sales or hospitality experience preferred
  • Prior sales experience in audiovisual is a plus
  • Knowledge of hospitality industry and sales processes preferred
  • Technical aptitude and computer proficiency required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Job Duties

  • Drive results by soliciting and securing business through a proactive, consultative sales approach
  • Effectively prepare and present quotes and proposals in a timely manner to customers
  • Collaborate with vendors and other departments/divisions to capture and service events
  • Attend site visits, pre-conference planning meetings, and venue meetings as necessary
  • Understand event cost structure and incorporate profitability guidelines into solution designs
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with customers, venue personnel, and internal departments
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and ensure all opportunities are accurately documented in CRM
  • Support sales forecasting efforts and adopt all standard operating procedures and new initiatives
  • Maintain knowledge of new product/service offerings and emerging event technology
