Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 1 year experience at Encore or similar role
- Experience in technology sales or hospitality preferred
- Proficiency with computers and CRM systems
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Capability to perform physical tasks including sitting, standing, walking for extended periods
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry 0-50 pounds
Job Qualifications
- BS/BA or 1+ years of Encore or equivalent experience
- 1 year technology sales or hospitality experience preferred
- Prior sales experience in audiovisual is a plus
- Knowledge of hospitality industry and sales processes preferred
- Technical aptitude and computer proficiency required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Job Duties
- Drive results by soliciting and securing business through a proactive, consultative sales approach
- Prepare and present quotes and proposals in a timely manner to customers
- Collaborate effectively with vendors and other departments to capture and service events
- Attend site visits, pre-conference planning meetings, and venue meetings to support the customer event experience
- Understand event cost structure and incorporate this into solution designs according to profitability guidelines
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with customers, venue personnel, and internal teams
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and ensure all opportunities are accurately recorded in the CRM
- Support sales forecasting efforts and adopt all standard operating procedures
- Maintain knowledge of new product/service offerings and emerging event technology
