Job Requirements

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • at least 1 year of experience with Encore or in a similar sales role
  • familiarity with technology sales or hospitality environment
  • prior exposure to audiovisual sales preferred
  • proficient with computers and technology
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to research and understand customer history
  • ability to maintain accurate CRM data
  • willingness to attend site visits and meetings
  • capability to work irregular hours including evenings and weekends
  • physically able to meet job demands such as standing, walking, lifting 0-50 lbs occasionally

Job Qualifications

  • BS/BA or equivalent experience
  • 1+ years of Encore or similar industry experience
  • technology sales or hospitality experience preferred
  • prior sales experience in audiovisual a plus
  • knowledge of hospitality industry and sales processes preferred
  • technical aptitude and computer proficiency required
  • strong written and verbal communication skills

Job Duties

  • Drive results by soliciting and securing business through a proactive, consultative sales approach
  • Effectively prepare and present quotes and proposals in a timely manner to customers
  • Collaborate with vendors and other departments/divisions to capture and service events
  • Attend site visits, pre-conference planning meetings, and venue meetings to support customer event experience
  • Understand event cost structure and incorporate this into solution designs according to profitability guidelines
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with customers, venue personnel, and Encore departments
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer information in CRM system at all times
  • Maintain a healthy pipeline to ensure achievement of revenue targets
  • Support sales forecasting efforts by providing accurate and timely submissions
  • Learn and adopt SOPs and new initiatives/programs
  • Maintain knowledge of new product/service offerings and emerging event technology
