Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- At least 1 year of relevant sales or hospitality experience
- Proficiency in technology sales or audiovisual solutions preferred
- Knowledge of hospitality and event sales processes
- Strong technical skills and computer proficiency
- Excellent communication abilities
- Ability to maintain accurate customer records in CRM
- Willingness to attend site visits and support events
- Ability to work irregular hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 1 year experience with Encore or in a similar role
- Technology sales or hospitality experience preferred
- Prior sales experience in audiovisual is a plus
- Knowledge of hospitality industry and sales processes preferred
- Technical aptitude and computer proficiency required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Job Duties
- Drive results by soliciting and securing business through a proactive consultative sales approach
- Effectively prepare and present quotes and proposals in a timely manner to customers
- Collaborate with vendors and other departments to capture and service events
- Attend site visits, pre-conference planning meetings, and venue meetings to support customer event experience
- Understand event cost structure and incorporate this into solution designs
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with customers, venue personnel, and supporting functions
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and ensure accurate CRM data
- Support sales forecasting and adopt all standard operating procedures and new initiatives
- Maintain knowledge of new products, services, and emerging event technology
