Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • At least 1 year of relevant sales or hospitality experience
  • Proficiency in technology sales or audiovisual solutions preferred
  • Knowledge of hospitality and event sales processes
  • Strong technical skills and computer proficiency
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • Ability to maintain accurate customer records in CRM
  • Willingness to attend site visits and support events
  • Ability to work irregular hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 1 year experience with Encore or in a similar role
  • Technology sales or hospitality experience preferred
  • Prior sales experience in audiovisual is a plus
  • Knowledge of hospitality industry and sales processes preferred
  • Technical aptitude and computer proficiency required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Job Duties

  • Drive results by soliciting and securing business through a proactive consultative sales approach
  • Effectively prepare and present quotes and proposals in a timely manner to customers
  • Collaborate with vendors and other departments to capture and service events
  • Attend site visits, pre-conference planning meetings, and venue meetings to support customer event experience
  • Understand event cost structure and incorporate this into solution designs
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with customers, venue personnel, and supporting functions
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and ensure accurate CRM data
  • Support sales forecasting and adopt all standard operating procedures and new initiatives
  • Maintain knowledge of new products, services, and emerging event technology
