Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • minimum 1 year experience in sales or related field
  • proficiency in technology sales or hospitality preferred
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to use CRM systems effectively
  • capacity to work irregular hours including evenings, weekends, and on-call
  • capable of meeting physical job demands such as sitting, standing, walking, and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs

Job Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree or 1+ years of Encore or equivalent experience
  • 1 year technology sales or hospitality experience preferred
  • prior sales experience in audiovisual is a plus
  • knowledge of hospitality industry and sales processes preferred
  • technical aptitude and computer proficiency required
  • strong written and verbal communication skills

Job Duties

  • Drive results by soliciting and securing business through a proactive, consultative sales approach using Encore's sales process and methodology
  • Effectively prepare and present quotes and proposals to customers in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with vendors and other company departments to capture and service events
  • Attend site visits, pre-conference planning meetings, and venue meetings to support customer event experience
  • Understand event cost structure and incorporate this into solution designs according to profitability guidelines
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with customers, venue personnel, and internal teams to deliver world-class service
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and ensure all opportunities are accurately documented in the CRM system
