Job Requirements

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in Encore or similar environment
  • Ability to perform consultative sales
  • Knowledge of event technology or hospitality preferred
  • Technical proficiency with computer systems
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to maintain CRM data accurately
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical ability to meet job demands including sitting, standing, walking for extended periods

Job Qualifications

  • BS/BA or equivalent experience
  • 1+ years of Encore or equivalent experience
  • Technology sales or hospitality experience preferred
  • Prior sales experience in audiovisual is a plus
  • Knowledge of hospitality industry and sales processes preferred
  • Technical aptitude and computer proficiency required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Job Duties

  • Drive results by soliciting and securing business through a proactive, consultative sales approach
  • Effectively prepare and present quotes and proposals in a timely manner to customers
  • Collaborate with vendors and other departments/divisions to capture and service events
  • Attend site visits, pre-conference planning meetings, and appropriate venue meetings as necessary
  • Understand event cost structure and incorporate this into solution designs according to profitability guidelines
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with customers, venue personnel, and Encore supporting functions and departments
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline ensuring achievement of revenue targets
  • Ensure all known opportunities are in CRM and updated at all times
  • Support sales forecasting efforts and ensure accuracy
  • Learn and adopt all SOPs and new initiatives
  • Maintain knowledge of new product/service offerings and emerging technology
