Job Requirements
- BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in Encore or similar environment
- Ability to perform consultative sales
- Knowledge of event technology or hospitality preferred
- Technical proficiency with computer systems
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to maintain CRM data accurately
- Flexibility to work irregular hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Physical ability to meet job demands including sitting, standing, walking for extended periods
Job Qualifications
- BS/BA or equivalent experience
- 1+ years of Encore or equivalent experience
- Technology sales or hospitality experience preferred
- Prior sales experience in audiovisual is a plus
- Knowledge of hospitality industry and sales processes preferred
- Technical aptitude and computer proficiency required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Job Duties
- Drive results by soliciting and securing business through a proactive, consultative sales approach
- Effectively prepare and present quotes and proposals in a timely manner to customers
- Collaborate with vendors and other departments/divisions to capture and service events
- Attend site visits, pre-conference planning meetings, and appropriate venue meetings as necessary
- Understand event cost structure and incorporate this into solution designs according to profitability guidelines
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with customers, venue personnel, and Encore supporting functions and departments
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline ensuring achievement of revenue targets
- Ensure all known opportunities are in CRM and updated at all times
- Support sales forecasting efforts and ensure accuracy
- Learn and adopt all SOPs and new initiatives
- Maintain knowledge of new product/service offerings and emerging technology
