Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • minimum 1 year sales experience in technology or hospitality
  • proficiency with CRM software
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work irregular hours including evenings and weekends
  • physical ability to meet job demands including standing, walking, and occasional lifting
  • willingness to travel between hotel venues
  • commitment to company Core Values and customer service excellence

Job Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • 1+ years of Encore or equivalent sales experience
  • 1 year technology sales or hospitality experience preferred
  • prior audiovisual sales experience a plus
  • knowledge of hospitality industry and sales processes preferred
  • technical aptitude and computer proficiency
  • strong written and verbal communication skills

Job Duties

  • Drive results by soliciting and securing business through a proactive, consultative sales approach
  • prepare and present quotes and proposals in a timely manner
  • collaborate with vendors and other departments to capture and service events
  • attend site visits, pre-conference planning meetings, and venue meetings as necessary
  • understand event cost structure and incorporate profitability guidelines
  • cultivate and maintain relationships with customers, venue personnel, and Encore departments
  • research and understand customer history to personalize experiences
  • attend customer meetings to understand goals and respond to questions
  • ensure all customer information is accurate in CRM
  • actively refer and guide customers through the Encore network
  • maintain a healthy sales pipeline to achieve revenue targets
  • keep CRM updated with all opportunities
  • support sales forecasting efforts
  • learn and adopt SOPs and new initiatives
  • maintain knowledge of new product and service offerings and emerging technologies
