Job Requirements
- BS/BA degree or equivalent
- 1+ years of experience in sales or related field
- Experience in technology sales or hospitality preferred
- Prior experience in audiovisual sales is advantageous
- Proficient with computers and technical systems
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work irregular hours including evenings and weekends
- Must meet physical demands such as sitting, standing, walking for multiple hours
- Ability to lift and carry moderate weights occasionally
- Willingness to travel and work in multiple hotel locations
Job Qualifications
- BS/BA or 1+ years of Encore or equivalent experience
- 1 year technology sales or hospitality experience preferred
- Prior sales experience in audiovisual is a plus
- Knowledge of hospitality industry and sales processes preferred
- Technical aptitude and computer proficiency required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Job Duties
- Drive results by soliciting and securing business through a proactive consultative sales approach utilizing Encore's sales process and methodology
- Effectively prepare and present quotes and proposals to customers including those from venue booking systems
- Collaborate with vendors and internal departments to capture and service events
- Attend site visits and pre-conference planning meetings to support the customer event experience
- Understand event cost structure and design profitable solutions
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with customers, venue personnel, and Encore departments
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline ensuring achievement of revenue targets
- Keep all opportunities in CRM accurate and up-to-date
- Support sales forecasting efforts ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Learn and adopt standard operating procedures and new initiatives
- Maintain knowledge of new product and service offerings and emerging event technology
