Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- minimum 1 year of related sales or hospitality experience
- proficiency with CRM systems and sales methodologies
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- technical aptitude to understand event technology
- ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders
- physical ability to perform specified job functions including sitting standing and walking
- willingness to work irregular hours including evenings weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- BS/BA or 1+ years of Encore or equivalent experience
- 1 year technology sales or hospitality experience preferred
- prior sales experience in audiovisual is a plus
- knowledge of hospitality industry and sales processes preferred
- technical aptitude and computer proficiency required
- strong written and verbal communication skills
Job Duties
- Drive results by soliciting and securing business through a proactive consultative sales approach
- prepare and present quotes and proposals to customers timely
- collaborate with vendors and internal teams to capture and service events
- attend site visits pre-conference planning and venue meetings to support customer event experience
- understand event cost structure and incorporate profitability guidelines into solutions
- cultivate and maintain relationships with customers venue personnel and Encore departments
- maintain accurate and up-to-date customer information in CRM
- maintain a healthy sales pipeline ensuring achievement of revenue targets
- support sales forecasting efforts ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- learn and adopt standard operating procedures and new initiatives
- maintain knowledge of new product service offerings and emerging event technology
