Job Requirements

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • minimum one year of related sales or hospitality experience
  • ability to meet physical demands including sitting, standing, walking for several hours
  • proficiency in using CRM systems and sales software
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work irregular hours including evenings, weekends, and on-call duties

Job Qualifications

  • BS/BA or equivalent experience
  • one or more years of experience with Encore or equivalent companies
  • technology sales or hospitality experience preferred
  • prior audiovisual sales experience a plus
  • knowledge of hospitality industry and sales processes preferred
  • technical aptitude and computer proficiency
  • strong written and verbal communication skills

Job Duties

  • Solicit and secure business through a proactive consultative sales approach
  • prepare and present quotes and proposals in a timely manner
  • collaborate with vendors and internal departments to capture and service events
  • attend site visits and pre-conference planning meetings to support customer events
  • understand event cost structure and design solutions for profitability
  • cultivate and maintain relationships with customers and venue personnel
  • maintain accurate and up-to-date customer information in the CRM system
