Job Requirements
- BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
- minimum 1 year of related sales or industry experience
- technical aptitude and computer proficiency
- strong written and verbal communication skills
- ability to work irregular hours including evenings weekends and holidays
- capability to meet physical demands such as sitting standing walking and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
- availability to travel between multiple hotel locations
- commitment to Encore’s core values and customer service standards
Job Qualifications
- BS/BA degree or 1+ years of Encore or equivalent experience
- 1 year technology sales or hospitality experience preferred
- prior sales experience in audiovisual is a plus
- knowledge of hospitality industry and sales processes preferred
- technical aptitude and computer proficiency required
- strong written and verbal communication skills
Job Duties
- Drive results by soliciting and securing business through a proactive consultative sales approach utilizing Encore’s sales process and methodology
- prepare and present quotes and proposals in a timely manner to customers including those from venue booking systems
- collaborate effectively with vendors and other company departments to capture and service events
- attend site visits pre-conference planning meetings and venue meetings to support customer event experience
- understand event cost structure and incorporate this into solution designs according to profitability guidelines
- cultivate and maintain relationships with customers venue personnel and Encore supporting functions delivering world-class service
- research and understand customer history to create personalized customer experiences
- attend customer meetings understanding goals and responding to questions concerns and challenges
- ensure customer information is up to date and accurate in the Customer Relationship Management system
- actively refer and guide customers through the Encore network securing additional opportunities with existing customers
- maintain a healthy sales pipeline ensuring achievement of revenue targets
- ensure all known opportunities are accurately updated in CRM
- support sales forecasting efforts ensuring accuracy and timely submission
- learn and adopt all SOPs related to the role and new initiatives
- maintain knowledge of new products services and emerging technology supporting meetings and events
