Job Requirements
- BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
- minimum 1 year of relevant sales experience
- technology sales or hospitality experience preferred
- familiarity with audiovisual sales advantageous
- knowledge of hospitality industry sales processes
- technical aptitude and proficiency with computers
- excellent communication skills
- ability to maintain accurate CRM data
- capacity to work irregular hours and travel
- physical ability to meet job demands including sitting, standing, walking, lifting and carrying moderate weights
Job Qualifications
- BS/BA or equivalent experience
- 1+ years of Encore or similar experience required
- technology sales or hospitality experience preferred
- prior sales experience in audiovisual is a plus
- knowledge of hospitality industry and sales processes preferred
- technical aptitude and computer proficiency required
- strong written and verbal communication skills
Job Duties
- Drive results by soliciting and securing business through a proactive, consultative sales approach utilizing Encore's sales process and methodology
- prepare and present quotes and proposals in a timely manner to customers
- collaborate with vendors and other departments/divisions to capture and service events
- attend site visits, pre-conference planning meetings, and appropriate venue meetings to support the customer event experience
- understand event cost structure and incorporate this into solution designs according to profitability guidelines
- cultivate and maintain relationships with customers, venue personnel, and Encore supporting functions and departments
- research and understand customer history to create personalized experiences
- attend customer meetings, understand their goals, and respond to questions and challenges
- maintain accurate and current customer information in the CRM system
- refer and guide customers through the Encore network to secure additional opportunities
- maintain a healthy sales pipeline ensuring achievement of revenue targets
- ensure all known opportunities are accurately updated in CRM
- support sales forecasting efforts ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- learn and adopt all SOPs related to the role and new programs
- maintain knowledge of new products, service offerings, and emerging technology
- adhere to Encore's core values in daily work
