Job Requirements

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • minimum 1 year of relevant sales experience
  • technology sales or hospitality experience preferred
  • familiarity with audiovisual sales advantageous
  • knowledge of hospitality industry sales processes
  • technical aptitude and proficiency with computers
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to maintain accurate CRM data
  • capacity to work irregular hours and travel
  • physical ability to meet job demands including sitting, standing, walking, lifting and carrying moderate weights

Job Qualifications

  • BS/BA or equivalent experience
  • 1+ years of Encore or similar experience required
  • technology sales or hospitality experience preferred
  • prior sales experience in audiovisual is a plus
  • knowledge of hospitality industry and sales processes preferred
  • technical aptitude and computer proficiency required
  • strong written and verbal communication skills

Job Duties

  • Drive results by soliciting and securing business through a proactive, consultative sales approach utilizing Encore's sales process and methodology
  • prepare and present quotes and proposals in a timely manner to customers
  • collaborate with vendors and other departments/divisions to capture and service events
  • attend site visits, pre-conference planning meetings, and appropriate venue meetings to support the customer event experience
  • understand event cost structure and incorporate this into solution designs according to profitability guidelines
  • cultivate and maintain relationships with customers, venue personnel, and Encore supporting functions and departments
  • research and understand customer history to create personalized experiences
  • attend customer meetings, understand their goals, and respond to questions and challenges
  • maintain accurate and current customer information in the CRM system
  • refer and guide customers through the Encore network to secure additional opportunities
  • maintain a healthy sales pipeline ensuring achievement of revenue targets
  • ensure all known opportunities are accurately updated in CRM
  • support sales forecasting efforts ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • learn and adopt all SOPs related to the role and new programs
  • maintain knowledge of new products, service offerings, and emerging technology
  • adhere to Encore's core values in daily work
