Job Requirements

  • BS/BA degree or 1+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience in technology sales or hospitality preferred
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and sales methodologies
  • Ability to prepare and present sales proposals
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Capacity to meet physical demands such as standing, walking, occasional lifting
  • Willingness to travel to multiple hotel locations
  • Commitment to ethical conduct and teamwork

Job Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree or 1+ years of Encore or equivalent experience
  • 1 year technology sales or hospitality experience preferred
  • Prior sales experience in audiovisual is a plus
  • Knowledge of hospitality industry and sales processes preferred
  • Technical aptitude and computer proficiency required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Job Duties

  • Drive results by soliciting and securing business through a proactive, consultative sales approach utilizing Encore's sales process and methodology
  • Effectively prepare and present quotes and proposals in a timely manner to customers, including online submissions
  • Collaborate with vendors and other company departments to capture and service events
  • Attend site visits, pre-conference planning meetings and venue meetings to support the customer event experience
  • Understand event cost structure and incorporate profitability guidelines into solution designs
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with customers, venue personnel, and internal teams to deliver world-class service
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline ensuring achievement of revenue targets
  • Ensure all opportunities are accurately entered and updated in CRM system
  • Support sales forecasting efforts with accurate and timely submissions
  • Learn and adopt SOPs related to role and new initiatives
  • Maintain knowledge of new product and service offerings and emerging technology in meetings and events
