Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 1 year experience in Encore or similar role
- Preferably 1 year technology sales or hospitality experience
- Must possess technical aptitude and computer proficiency
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to work irregular hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Capability to meet physical demands of sitting, standing, walking, and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
Job Qualifications
- BS/BA degree or 1+ years of Encore or equivalent experience
- 1 year technology sales or hospitality experience preferred
- Prior sales experience in audiovisual is a plus
- Knowledge of hospitality industry and sales processes preferred
- Technical aptitude and computer proficiency required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Job Duties
- Drive results by soliciting and securing business through proactive consultative sales approach
- Prepare and present quotes and proposals in a timely manner
- Collaborate effectively with vendors and other company departments to capture and service events
- Attend site visits, pre-conference planning meetings, and venue meetings to support customer event experience
- Understand event cost structure and design solutions according to profitability guidelines
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with customers and venue personnel to deliver world-class service
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and ensure all sales opportunities are accurately updated in CRM
- Support sales forecasting efforts and adopt all related standard operating procedures and new initiatives
- Maintain knowledge of new products, services, and emerging technology relevant to meetings and events
