Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • at least 1 year of relevant sales experience
  • technology sales or hospitality experience preferred
  • technical proficiency with audiovisual equipment and event technology
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to manage multiple priorities and work irregular hours including evenings and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree or 1+ years of Encore or equivalent experience
  • 1 year technology sales or hospitality experience preferred
  • prior sales experience in audiovisual is a plus
  • knowledge of hospitality industry and sales processes preferred
  • technical aptitude and computer proficiency required
  • strong written and verbal communication skills

Job Duties

  • Drive results by soliciting and securing business through a proactive, consultative sales approach
  • prepare and present quotes and proposals in a timely manner
  • collaborate with vendors and internal departments to capture and service events
  • attend site visits, pre-conference planning, and venue meetings to support event execution
  • understand event cost structures and design profitable solutions
  • cultivate and maintain relationships with customers and venue personnel
  • thoroughly research customer history to personalize experiences
  • attend customer meetings to understand goals and respond to inquiries
  • ensure customer information is accurate and updated in the CRM system
  • actively refer and guide customers through the Encore network to secure additional opportunities
  • maintain a healthy sales pipeline to achieve revenue targets
  • ensure accuracy and update of all opportunities in CRM
  • support sales forecasting efforts and timely submission
  • learn and adopt all standard operating procedures and new initiatives
  • maintain knowledge of new products, services, and emerging event technologies
