Job Requirements

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 1 year experience in sales or related field
  • Proficiency in technology sales or hospitality preferred
  • Knowledge of audiovisual sales advantageous
  • Strong communication skills
  • Technical aptitude
  • Ability to work irregular hours including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to operate within hotel/convention center environment
  • Compliance with company appearance guidelines

Job Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree or 1+ years of Encore or equivalent experience
  • 1 year technology sales or hospitality experience preferred
  • Prior sales experience in audiovisual is a plus
  • Knowledge of hospitality industry and sales processes preferred
  • Technical aptitude and computer proficiency required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Job Duties

  • Drive results by soliciting and securing business through a proactive, consultative sales approach
  • Prepare and present quotes and proposals promptly
  • Collaborate effectively with vendors and departments to service events
  • Attend site visits, pre-conference planning meetings, and venue meetings
  • Understand event cost structure and design solutions according to profitability guidelines
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with customers, venue personnel, and Encore departments
  • Maintain accurate customer information in CRM system at all times
