Job Requirements

  • BS/BA or relevant experience
  • 1+ years of sales or hospitality experience
  • Technical aptitude
  • Proficiency with computer and CRM systems
  • Ability to work irregular hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to work in hotel/convention center environment
  • Ability to perform physical activities such as sitting, standing, walking for several hours
  • Adherence to appearance guidelines
  • Excellent communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree or 1+ years of Encore or equivalent experience
  • 1 year technology sales or hospitality experience preferred
  • Prior sales experience in audiovisual is a plus
  • Knowledge of hospitality industry and sales processes preferred
  • Technical aptitude and computer proficiency required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Job Duties

  • Drive results by soliciting and securing business through a proactive, consultative sales approach
  • Prepare and present quotes and proposals in a timely manner
  • Collaborate effectively with vendors and internal departments to capture and service events
  • Attend site visits, pre-conference planning meetings, and venue meetings
  • Understand event cost structures and design solutions according to profitability guidelines
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with customers, venue personnel, and internal teams
  • Maintain accurate customer information in CRM and update sales opportunities
  • Manage sales pipeline and support sales forecasting efforts
  • Learn and adopt standard operating procedures and new initiatives
  • Stay informed about new product and service offerings in event technology
