Job Requirements
- BS/BA or relevant experience
- 1+ years of sales or hospitality experience
- Technical aptitude
- Proficiency with computer and CRM systems
- Ability to work irregular hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work in hotel/convention center environment
- Ability to perform physical activities such as sitting, standing, walking for several hours
- Adherence to appearance guidelines
- Excellent communication skills
Job Qualifications
- BS/BA degree or 1+ years of Encore or equivalent experience
- 1 year technology sales or hospitality experience preferred
- Prior sales experience in audiovisual is a plus
- Knowledge of hospitality industry and sales processes preferred
- Technical aptitude and computer proficiency required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Job Duties
- Drive results by soliciting and securing business through a proactive, consultative sales approach
- Prepare and present quotes and proposals in a timely manner
- Collaborate effectively with vendors and internal departments to capture and service events
- Attend site visits, pre-conference planning meetings, and venue meetings
- Understand event cost structures and design solutions according to profitability guidelines
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with customers, venue personnel, and internal teams
- Maintain accurate customer information in CRM and update sales opportunities
- Manage sales pipeline and support sales forecasting efforts
- Learn and adopt standard operating procedures and new initiatives
- Stay informed about new product and service offerings in event technology
