Job Requirements

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • 1+ years of sales experience preferably in technology sales or hospitality
  • technical aptitude and proficiency with computer systems
  • strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • capacity to travel and work in multiple hotel locations
  • commitment to maintaining up-to-date customer information in CRM
  • ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external partners
  • willingness to learn and adapt to company SOPs and initiatives

Job Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree or 1+ years of Encore or equivalent experience
  • 1 year technology sales or hospitality experience preferred
  • prior sales experience in audiovisual is a plus
  • knowledge of hospitality industry and sales processes preferred
  • technical aptitude and computer proficiency required
  • strong written and verbal communication skills

Job Duties

  • Drive results by soliciting and securing business through a proactive, consultative sales approach
  • effectively prepare and present quotes and proposals in a timely manner
  • collaborate with vendors and internal departments to capture and service events
  • attend site visits and planning meetings to support customer event experiences
  • understand event cost structure and incorporate profitability guidelines
  • cultivate and maintain relationships with customers, venue personnel, and supporting functions
  • research and personalize customer experiences based on historical information
  • attend customer meetings and respond to goals, questions, and concerns
  • maintain accurate customer information in CRM
  • refer and guide customers through Encore network for additional opportunities
  • maintain a healthy sales pipeline to achieve revenue targets
  • ensure all opportunities are accurately updated in CRM
  • support sales forecasting efforts at location
  • learn and adopt SOPs and new initiatives
  • maintain knowledge of new product/service offerings and emerging event technologies
