Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- minimum of 1 year sales experience preferably in technology or hospitality
- strong understanding of sales processes
- proficiency with technology and CRM systems
- excellent communication skills
- ability to meet physical demands of the job including standing, walking, and occasional lifting
- flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- compliance with appearance guidelines
- ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- willingness to travel between multiple hotel locations if required
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- minimum of 1 year experience in sales, preferably with Encore or a similar company
- technology sales or hospitality experience preferred
- prior audiovisual sales experience is a plus
- knowledge of hospitality industry sales processes preferred
- technical aptitude and computer proficiency
- strong written and verbal communication skills
Job Duties
- Drive results by soliciting and securing business through a proactive, consultative sales approach
- effectively prepare and present quotes and proposals in a timely manner
- collaborate with vendors and other departments to capture and service events
- attend site visits, pre-conference planning meetings, and venue meetings to support customer event experience
- understand event cost structure and design profitable solutions
- cultivate and maintain relationships with customers, venue personnel, and internal teams
- maintain accurate and up-to-date customer information in the CRM system
- maintain a healthy sales pipeline and ensure all opportunities are accurately recorded
- support sales forecasting and submit reports in a timely manner
- learn and adopt all relevant standard operating procedures and new initiatives
- stay informed about new product and service offerings as well as emerging technology in event services
