Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • minimum of 1 year sales experience preferably in technology or hospitality
  • strong understanding of sales processes
  • proficiency with technology and CRM systems
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to meet physical demands of the job including standing, walking, and occasional lifting
  • flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • compliance with appearance guidelines
  • ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • willingness to travel between multiple hotel locations if required

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • minimum of 1 year experience in sales, preferably with Encore or a similar company
  • technology sales or hospitality experience preferred
  • prior audiovisual sales experience is a plus
  • knowledge of hospitality industry sales processes preferred
  • technical aptitude and computer proficiency
  • strong written and verbal communication skills

Job Duties

  • Drive results by soliciting and securing business through a proactive, consultative sales approach
  • effectively prepare and present quotes and proposals in a timely manner
  • collaborate with vendors and other departments to capture and service events
  • attend site visits, pre-conference planning meetings, and venue meetings to support customer event experience
  • understand event cost structure and design profitable solutions
  • cultivate and maintain relationships with customers, venue personnel, and internal teams
  • maintain accurate and up-to-date customer information in the CRM system
  • maintain a healthy sales pipeline and ensure all opportunities are accurately recorded
  • support sales forecasting and submit reports in a timely manner
  • learn and adopt all relevant standard operating procedures and new initiatives
  • stay informed about new product and service offerings as well as emerging technology in event services
