Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of experience in hotel sales or comparable field
  • proven track record in sales and event management
  • strong negotiation and contract management skills
  • excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • proficiency with computer systems and software
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as required

Job Qualifications

  • a true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
  • refined verbal and written communication skills
  • proficient in general computer knowledge
  • extremely detail oriented and organized
  • experience with luxury weddings, social events, fine dining
  • a minimum of 1-3 years of hotel sales or comparable experience preferred
  • completion of Hyatt Corporate Management Training Program or equivalent training preferred
  • selling, negotiating, business writing and presentation skills training preferred
  • completion of PSS preferred

Job Duties

  • solicit new business for local catering and group sales
  • handle inquiries and service converted groups
  • sell and service corporate and social events with or without sleeping rooms
  • negotiate contracts and coordinate event planning activities including menu selection
  • prepare and present proposals and maintain organized documentation
  • facilitate communication with hotel staff before, during, and after events
  • conduct hotel tours and maintain customer relationships
