Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of experience in hotel sales or comparable field
- proven track record in sales and event management
- strong negotiation and contract management skills
- excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- proficiency with computer systems and software
- ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as required
Job Qualifications
- a true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
- refined verbal and written communication skills
- proficient in general computer knowledge
- extremely detail oriented and organized
- experience with luxury weddings, social events, fine dining
- a minimum of 1-3 years of hotel sales or comparable experience preferred
- completion of Hyatt Corporate Management Training Program or equivalent training preferred
- selling, negotiating, business writing and presentation skills training preferred
- completion of PSS preferred
Job Duties
- solicit new business for local catering and group sales
- handle inquiries and service converted groups
- sell and service corporate and social events with or without sleeping rooms
- negotiate contracts and coordinate event planning activities including menu selection
- prepare and present proposals and maintain organized documentation
- facilitate communication with hotel staff before, during, and after events
- conduct hotel tours and maintain customer relationships
