Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of experience in hotel or event sales preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and event management software
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Must have excellent organizational and negotiation skills

Job Qualifications

  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in general computer knowledge
  • Extremely detail oriented and organized
  • Prefer two years hotel experience or completion of an Event Management trainee program
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule

Job Duties

  • Sell banquet food, beverage, and meeting room rentals
  • Plan event menus and set agendas
  • Manage hotel meeting services
  • Develop new business and review contracts
  • Facilitate communication before, during, and after events
  • Host hotel tours for clients
  • Maintain strong customer relationships
  • Participate and potentially lead event and staff meetings
  • Collaborate as a team member with sales and events staff
  • Work closely with assigned administrative assistants and support staff
