Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, hospitality or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales, event management or related roles
  • Proven track record in meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Strong interpersonal and networking skills
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems

  • Experience in sales or event management
  • Strong knowledge of event sales and marketing strategies
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships
  • Proficiency with CRM software
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Job Duties

  • Proactively engage in outbound sales activity and networking to grow sales revenues for private events
  • Conduct market research to develop strategies for generating new business by knowing local businesses, chambers and associations
  • Foster client relationships through ongoing communication with top local businesses ensuring repeat business and referrals
  • Collaborate with chambers, visitor bureaus, sports commissions, third-party event planners and convention centers to identify new opportunities
  • Negotiate and close event sales by creating estimates, proposals, upselling, conducting site tours, food tastings and meetings
