Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, hospitality or related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales, event management or related roles
- Proven track record in meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Strong interpersonal and networking skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems

- Strong knowledge of event sales and marketing strategies
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain client relationships
- Proficiency with CRM software

Job Duties

- Proactively engage in outbound sales activity and networking to grow sales revenues for private events
- Conduct market research to develop strategies for generating new business by knowing local businesses, chambers and associations
- Foster client relationships through ongoing communication with top local businesses ensuring repeat business and referrals
- Collaborate with chambers, visitor bureaus, sports commissions, third-party event planners and convention centers to identify new opportunities
- Negotiate and close event sales by creating estimates, proposals, upselling, conducting site tours, food tastings and meetings
