Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prefer two years hotel or event management experience
  • excellent communication skills
  • strong organizational skills
  • proficiency with computers
  • ability to work flexible hours
  • attention to detail
  • customer service orientation

Job Qualifications

  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
  • refined verbal and written communication skills
  • proficiency in general computer knowledge
  • extremely detail oriented and organized
  • prefer two years hotel experience or completed event management trainee program
  • ability to work flexible schedule

Job Duties

  • Sell banquet food, beverage, and meeting room rentals
  • plan menus and set event agendas
  • facilitate business development and contract review
  • conduct hotel tours and maintain customer relationships
  • coordinate communication across hotel staff before, during and after events
  • participate in and potentially lead event and staff meetings
  • collaborate with sales, events staff, and administrative assistants
