Job Requirements
- minimum one to two years experience in catering sales or event planning
- must be 18 years or older
- ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 35 lbs
- capacity to work varied hours including nights, weekends and holidays
- understanding of team building and development
- knowledge of local, state and federal laws applicable to events
- ability to maintain clean and organized work environment
- strong organizational and communication skills
Job Qualifications
- one to two years minimum catering sales or event planning experience in off-site catering, hotel or cultural attraction catering venue preferred
- knowledge of banquet event orders (BEO) and execution
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- exceptional problem solving and decision making abilities
- financial management, merchandising, analytical and planning skills
- ability to remain flexible in a fast-paced environment
- computer knowledge for basic office functions
- professional and positive communication skills
Job Duties
- handle all birthday inquiries
- upsell and detail the event with the client
- prepare contracts, BEO’s, diagrams and other internal documents
- provide thorough and timely communication with clients
- communicate and collaborate with catering operations, culinary team and other departments for event execution
- uphold and demonstrate understanding of company policies and procedures
- walk event spaces before events to ensure readiness
- coordinate event details from menu to setup and staffing
- secure deposits and ensure full event payments
- perform post-event follow-up and client development
- provide administrative support to Catering Sales Team
- perform any other duties assigned by leadership
