Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 5-8 years of relevant event sales and operations experience
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must pass pre-employment background check, drug test, and TB test
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and lead teams effectively

Job Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of progressive experience in event sales, operations, hospitality, or experiential programming
  • Experience managing events or hospitality in licensed environments with regulatory compliance
  • Experience coaching managers and leading sales and operations teams preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration
  • Commitment to inclusive management fostering trust and belonging
  • Skilled in de-escalation, service recovery, and conflict resolution
  • Strong sales acumen with client management and revenue generation experience
  • Deep understanding of guest experience principles and service leadership
  • Highly organized with strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and event sales, CRM, or management systems preferred
  • Valid driver’s license required

Job Duties

  • Own the performance of the event sales function with shared accountability for revenue targets
  • Establish and enforce sales processes and performance expectations
  • Develop and manage comprehensive event sales strategy
  • Partner with Director of Events on pricing, capacity, and strategy alignment
  • Communicate sales pipeline performance and forecast
  • Serve as a senior client-facing leader for high-profile events
  • Coach Assistant Managers and Sales Coordinators on client situations
  • Extend professional standards to internal events
  • Own operational execution of all private and public events ensuring quality and safety
  • Establish and refine standard operating procedures and staffing models
  • Lead staffing and scheduling of event team members
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to assess and innovate event execution
  • Develop and enforce service recovery protocols
  • Partner to operationalize high-quality event standards
  • Own guest experience quality across all events
  • Embed guest experience principles into operations
  • Evaluate service delivery and coach teams
  • Collect and apply guest feedback for improvement
  • Translate standards into daily behaviors and outcomes
  • Oversee recruitment, interviewing, and hiring for event teams
  • Sustain a high-performing, guest-centered team culture
  • Provide coaching and clear expectations to leaders
  • Establish communication and performance rhythms
  • Partner on talent development and succession planning
  • Support teams when performance or culture issues arise
  • Own development and improvement of SOPs and training
  • Ensure compliance with food and alcohol service standards
  • Develop training programs for sales and operations
  • Set expectations for onboarding and continuous development
  • Partner with Assistant Managers for training delivery
  • Use data to assess and improve training and operations
  • Collaborate with Business Systems to align tools and workflows
  • Maintain ongoing cross-department collaboration
  • Ensure cohesive, on-brand guest experience
  • Direct supervision of Internal Event Coordinator, Sales team, Assistant Manager
  • Indirect leadership of Experience Coordinator, Leads, Assistants, Bartenders
  • Foster trust, transparency, and inclusion
  • Maintain two-way communication
  • Create space for feedback and follow-up
  • Model accountability and responsiveness
  • Promote psychological safety and joy at work
