Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years experience in related field
- At least 2 years customer service experience preferred
- Previous event planning experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Willingness to adhere to company policies and event requirements including safety and loss prevention
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adjust to changing demands
- Relevant state clearances if supervising minors based on location
- Willingness to participate in background checks and ID verification
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years experience
- At least 2 years of customer service experience preferred
- Previous event planning experience with a mix of profit and non-profit is ideal
Job Duties
- Assist in planning all DSG-led events including cost planning ROI analysis staffing coverage internal and external communication event day-of execution and ensuring event waiver compliance
- Become an expert on all event space capabilities and recommend effective setups
- Work with Community and Events Manager to ensure events are within budget and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Create event documentation such as Run of Show Event Recaps Emergency Information card and Rental Agreements
- Oversee event experience ensuring athlete safety and enjoyment
- Lead and monitor reservations scheduling tool
- Manage field events including hiring referees equipment and maintenance when applicable
- Coordinate event entertainment including music and guest speakers
- Maintain cleanliness and equipment needs for store events
- Build relationships with local schools community organizations sports leagues homeschool organizations and vendors
- Work with Community Team to bring clinics camps and afterschool programming
- Create sales opportunities during client liaisons and events
- Attend monitor and gather feedback from events to ensure athlete satisfaction
- Provide a high-touch innovative experience for all seasonal programming
- Maintain all Field equipment programmable spaces and ensure safety and cleanliness including snow removal if applicable
- Offer sales and operations support to store management
- Adjust priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Adhere to all safety loss prevention and operational policies
- Follow ice rink policies if applicable
- Ensure proper operation of ice venue events open skating and promotions if applicable
- Sharpen rental and athlete skates if applicable
- Perform other tasks as assigned
- Ensure events are staffed and communicate expectations of athlete engagement
- Assist with training teammates including new hire and cross-training
- Train and mentor new hires sharing experience and best practices
- Provide outstanding training and coaching to deliver store vision and experience
