Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years experience
  • At least 2 years of customer service experience preferred
  • Previous event planning experience, including profit and non-profit experience is ideal
  • Ability to comply with state-mandated clearances to supervise minors based on location

Job Duties

  • Assist in planning all DSG-led events, including cost planning, ROI analysis, staffing coverage, communication, event execution, and waiver compliance
  • Become an expert on event space capabilities and recommend effective setups
  • Ensure events are within budget and identify opportunities for cost savings
  • Create event documentation such as Run of Show and Event Recaps
  • Oversee event experience ensuring fun and safe participation
  • Manage reservations scheduling tool
  • Coordinate event entertainment including music and guest speakers
  • Maintain cleanliness and equipment for store events
  • Build relationships with local community organizations and sports leagues
  • Bring clinics, camps, and programming to the store
  • Create sales opportunities during events
  • Gather feedback to ensure athlete satisfaction
  • Maintain field equipment and programmable spaces, including ice rink maintenance if applicable
  • Offer sales and operations support as needed
  • Adhere to safety, loss prevention, and operational policies
  • Train and mentor new hires and teammates
  • Provide outstanding coaching to align with store vision and experience
