Job Requirements
- be a current UF degree seeking student registered at a minimum of 6 credit hours per semester
- able to work weekends, evenings, holidays, and academic breaks
- commit to working 10 or more hours per week
- complete all training requirements within the first five weeks of employment
- possess the ability to physically lift up to 45 pounds
- maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average
- eligible to work on campus and employed through student Other Personnel Services (OPS)
- participate in all scheduled meetings, trainings, and evaluations
Job Qualifications
- be a current UF degree-seeking student registered at a minimum of 6 credit hours per semester
- demonstrate previous experience with customer service
- possess proficient verbal and written communication skills
- be CPR and First Aid certified or willing to obtain
- show a desire and willingness to learn in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
- establish exemplary work ethic by being proactive, self-motivated, and dependable
Job Duties
- physically set up tables, chairs, stages, audio-visual equipment, and other furniture consistent with room diagrams
- provide technical support for events occurring at the Reitz Union
- interpret Event Management System (EMS) documents to determine event requirements and setups
- respond to calls for assistance via two-way radio and provide customer service support
- assist with transportation, distribution, and redistribution of office furniture and event equipment
- conduct equipment inventories and complete minor repairs
- maintain furniture and audio-visual equipment in meeting rooms and storage areas
- operate sound reinforcement and lighting systems to support live events
- perform other duties as assigned
