Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2-4 years related public facility management experience
- working knowledge of principles of facility management
- ability to work long and irregular hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
- strong organizational and communication skills
- ability to prioritize multiple projects
- problem-solving skills
- ability to supervise staff
- knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- ability to interact with all levels of staff
- physical ability to stand and walk up to 8-10 hours daily
- technical knowledge of theatres and arenas
- ability to maintain professional appearance and work ethic
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university preferred
- 2-4 years related public facility management experience
- theater experience a plus
- working knowledge of the principles of facility management, services and equipment for a similar facility
- excellent organizational, planning and interpersonal skills
- strong written and verbal skills
- ability to prioritize multiple projects
- demonstrate problem-solving and communication skills
- professional presentation, appearance and work ethic
- ability to work under limited supervision and interact with all levels of staff including management
- ability to work long and irregular hours including day, evening, weekends and holidays
- knowledgeable in Microsoft Office applications
- AutoCAD design software preferred
Job Duties
- Supervises staff and oversees all aspects of facility operations related to events
- assist in hiring, training and supervising event services staff
- meets with client groups to plan and organize assigned meetings and/or events
- coordinates activities with various service contractors for assigned meetings and/or events
- guides clients in preparation of events by interpreting and explaining contract provisions, policies and procedures
- keeps clients informed as to status of deadline schedules including floor plan submissions, meeting room set-up specifications, insurance requirements and other relevant details
- prepares cost estimates and monitors final billing
- provides clear, concise, and timely communication of detailed requirements to operational departments and clients
- maintains thorough and complete event records
- monitors and supervises facility set-up when necessary
- serves as primary liaison between clients and facility departments
- monitors in-house events maintaining close contact with clients and facility staff to ensure successful events
- maintains proper image and generates positive public relations with patrons and staff
- follows-up on all client requests, concerns, and problems
- attends appropriate planning, organization and other event and facility meetings in support of facility operations
- works with relevant departments and vendors to provide prompt invoicing
- develops policies and procedures for Event Services and monitors compliance
- possesses technical knowledge and skills pertaining to theatres and arenas
- performs other duties as assigned
