Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent field training
  • Minimum eight years of experience in live events or live video production
  • Minimum five years working knowledge of tradeshow electrics and mechanics
  • Expert knowledge in live production software such as Q-Lab and DMX
  • Ability to manage various AV streams and formats
  • Experience with DSP and control platforms (certifications in Q-SYS and Dante desired)
  • Ability to lift and transport items up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Willingness to travel 15-20 percent
  • Must live within commutable distance to Costa Mesa, CA office

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent field training
  • Eight plus years of live events and video production experience
  • Five plus years working knowledge of tradeshow electrics and workflow
  • Expert knowledge of live production software and hardware including Q-Lab and DMX consoles
  • Experience managing AV streams and formats in live studio settings
  • Working knowledge of DSP and control platforms
  • Experience managing budgets and teams

Job Duties

  • Act as technical director for major tradeshows and regional events
  • Plan and manage technical elements of live and taped online events
  • Create production build schedules and lead show build teams
  • Manage event inventory and logistics for domestic and international events
  • Troubleshoot audio/video workflow and networking issues during events
  • Oversee pack-in and pack-out including shipping management
  • Hire and manage freelance contracts based on event size
