Job Requirements

  • CA Food Handler's Card upon hire required
  • a pattern of regular, prompt, dependable attendance required
  • ability to handle the pressures of coordinating multiple activities while delivering superior product
  • must pass a pre-employment post-offer background check

Job Qualifications

  • 6 months culinary experience in the food service industry preferred
  • proficiency in basic knife and butchering skills
  • strong knowledge of food products and cooking methods
  • exceptional communication skills
  • ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • strong attention to detail
  • basic computer literacy
  • basic mathematical skills for measurements and portion sizes

Job Duties

  • Prepare raw and ready-to-eat foods according to standardized recipes approved by Executive Chef or General Manager
  • Safely operate commercial kitchen equipment including grills, fryers, broilers, mixers, and ovens
  • Assist with setup and breakdown of event spaces and kitchen for food service
  • Ensure all equipment, tools, and work areas are safe, clean, well maintained, and functioning properly
  • Maintain appropriate prepped food levels as directed by supervisor
  • Receive, organize, and rotate food orders to maintain freshness and quality
  • Participate actively in daily, weekly, and monthly trainings and operational updates
  • Wash pots, pans, and dishes using three compartment sink or commercial dishwasher
  • Follow and enforce all local, state, and federal food safety laws and health code regulations
  • Perform additional tasks within the operation as needed
